Most of our RIB tours depart from central Stockholm (Strandvägen, Kajplats 17). However, alternative pick-up locations can be arranged upon request, depending on your preferences and itinerary.

Yes. All tours are operated by experienced, licensed skippers and include full safety equipment such as life jackets, goggles, and weatherproof gear.

Our tours usually range from 2 to 4.5 hours, depending on the experience you choose.

Absolutely. We specialize in private, tailor-made RIB experiences for families, friends, corporate groups, and special occasions.

A private RIB charter means you book the entire boat exclusively for your group — there are no other guests onboard. It’s just you, your company, and our skipper.

Our RIBs accommodate 1 to 10 passengers, and private charters offer a high level of flexibility. Depending on conditions and duration, the experience can be customized to suit your preferences, such as:

Yes, absolutely. We regularly welcome guests visiting Stockholm as part of a cruise.

We can pick you up directly close to where your cruise ship docks, most commonly at Stadsgårdshamnen or Frihamnen, and design a private RIB charter that fits perfectly into your time ashore.

Whether you’re looking for a guided tour of the archipelago, a scenic adventure, or a lunch stop on one of the islands, the experience is fully tailored to your schedule and preferences — ensuring a memorable day before returning comfortably to your ship.

Some light sea spray may occur, but you will not get soaked. All passengers are equipped with a flotation suits or windproof jackets to stay warm and dry depending on the water temperature and conditions.

Yes. We encourage our guests to capture great memories from their adventure with 59 DEGREES NORTH. You’re welcome to take photos and film during the trip, as long as it can be done safely.

Please ensure you keep a secure grip on your phone or camera at all times — our RIBs can reach high speeds, and sudden movements are part of the experience. All personal devices are taken onboard at your own risk, and we would hate to see any equipment end up in the sea.

RIB stands for Rigid Inflatable Boat, also known as Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB). It is a type of high‑performance boat with a solid hull and inflatable tubes along the sides.

This design combines stability, speed, and safety, making RIB boats ideal for transport, professional use, and adventures in the Stockholm archipelago. They are widely used by coast guards, rescue services, and professional operators worldwide.

Yes. Our RIB boats are designed to be highly flexible. All jockey seats are mounted on cargo tracks, allowing them to be repositioned or removed when needed (in pairs of two seats).

The cargo tracks also serve as secure tie‑down points, making it possible to safely fasten equipment or goods. This setup allows us to adapt the boat easily for passenger transport, cargo transport, or a combination of both, depending on the task at hand.

Our RIB boats have several great mounting points for action cameras. We use an Insta360 camera, and with your permission, we’re happy to capture some highlights from your trip.

Our RIB boat can accommodate up to 10 passengers + 2 crew.

The RIB boat is certified for 14 people (12 passengers + 2 crew) but to give our passengers more room we only equipped the boat with 10 passenger seats.

Yes. Both the boat and all passengers are insured through Svedea.

It is very rare for us to cancel a trip. However, if we need to cancel due to severe weather (such as heavy fog, thunderstorms) or technical issues, you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule for another date

Rest assured — if your group is planning an all‑day (and all‑night) adventure, we’ve got you covered.

With the tanks fully fuelled, our RIB boats have a range of up to 300 nautical miles (approximately 556 km). In other words, that’s more than enough to take you anywhere in the Stockholm archipelago — and then some.

So while we recommend enjoying the experience rather than testing the limits, range will never be what brings your adventure to an end.

Our RIB boats have a top speed of up to 44 knots, even with a full load of 10 passengers.

Yes. In addition to our RIB charter services, 59 DEGREES NORTH is also an official resource for Sjöassistans.

This means we are part of their nationwide assistance network and can provide on‑site help at sea when required. As a local professional boat operator, we may assist with situations such as engine problems, fuel shortages, groundings, or lines caught in the propeller.

Our cooperation with Sjöassistans strengthens safety at sea by ensuring that experienced local crews are available to respond quickly when assistance is needed. Sjöassistans operates a nationwide network with over 600 local resources across Sweden, offering 24/7 assistance at sea.

There is no age limit, but for safety reasons we have a minimum height requirement of 140 cm.

For private RIB charters, guests of any age can be accommodated with advance notice. We will plan the route, speed, and overall experience together with you to ensure a comfortable and safe trip.

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We recommend comfortable, secure shoes.

You will be provided with a flotation suit or a windproof jacket, depending on the water temperature and conditions.

If you have neck and/or back problems, we strongly recommend not participating in a RIB tour, as the ride can be physically demanding.

For safety reasons, we do not recommend joining a RIB tour during pregnancy, as the ride can be physically demanding.
